It won’t be exaggerating to say Kerala is nature’s one of the many gifts to mankind! A paradise with its rich greenery, water, and untouched air : atleast some parts of Kerala which nature has tried to preserve against human’s mess ups! Allepy backwaters, one such preserved place; a place you wanna run away to escape this madness of city-life!
All excited, after a months wait, we set forth for our trip on 10th July. As they say, more than the destination the journey is always a most rewarding experience; so it was… as a group in a train is always a classic experience.
Our journey began with the usual ‘kalaichal’ and some energy tonic (tx prabhu!) trying to get full share of the tonic before our TT came checking on us… After much of talking, with backwaters awaiting us, all we wanted was to gear up with some good rest… So, off to our birth and sweet old dream world!
Just when our eyes were trying to relax, there came a bang on the door – ya it was Maheswaran on our doors announcing that it was 6am in the mrg!!! Can anyone be so crazzzzzzzzzy to wake us so early on a holiday!!! But he escaped, thanks to the beauty that caught us all but with a little heavy heart because it was shining bright! After a quick breakfast, we made ourselves busy with Cards…
Alighted, first comment from us was ‘did we bring Chennai along’? so hot it was at least in the station… later on our way to the boathouse, we realized the difference due to greenery – atleast we cld feel the breeze! Breeze or sun, who was bothered because awaiting us, was the cool boathouse!
And here presenting our boathouse
– 3 bedrooms/a dining area, first floor sitting area with a terrace.
After a quick tour of the boat house, it was time to refresh ourselves with the most famous drink of kerala ‘kallu’ – no questions on who had & who didn’t;)
accompanied with kappa, most spicy & tasty fishes & chicken… c for urself licking our fingers:)
Following a quick prawn / fish shopping, we moved down further.... it was time for us to explore the first floor of the boathouse. Relaxing there for sometime, we could hear hunger bells going around! So, down we went for some keralite specialty…
After such a sumptuous lunch, needless to say it was time for us to stretch and relax… So, off we went to the terrace… It didn’t take much to become one with nature out there: relaxing, kidding each other, and watching very few lives there in their monotonous work, along with admiring nature! Silence & water, an overwhelming experience…
With such tempting water we couldn’t resist the temptation of getting into it… Off we went & had some great fun. Slowly sun was bidding its adieu and there we were eagerly crossing our fingers for some rain!
Time for some quick portfolio for each, where else will u get such a natural setup:)
What fun na :) it was just the beginning… more fun was awaiting us in the evening, which unfortunately we cldn’t capture thru the lens… no fret, I will turn over my memory pages for you all…
