A day in Paradise!

34
Yes, most definitely it is fit to be called a Paradise while the so-called developed world of ours is a MESS!

An hour @ a home in Thiruvanmayur and the above was my realization! With 70 human beings: age, sex, ability, disability NO BAR – all had one thing in common ‘zeal for life’ - that was visible in the way they accept what nature gave them, that they were orphaned by the ‘so called parents / family’, the living conditions they got, and all other things that they never had / don’t have / may not have… what do I say about them?

Kids less than 5 yrs old, completely unaware of what life had thrown on them, were giggling around with happiness for that one dress and ice cream they got! Leave aside what they got, the moment they saw us all we got was an instantaneous smile :)

My cousin who introduced us to this home had first met a girl who was grown up by age but other than face she has a baby’s body – my cousin ended up having tears in her eyes when she saw her first while the girl consoled her and said ‘the day my parent knew about this disability they left me! I have accepted that and am happy here! Why are you crying?’ – all this with a smile! You can’t imagine their sense of life, humor, maturity! She says to me, when I offered to carry her to room, ‘but you are so thin, you can’t carry me!’ and was laughing her way to glory:)

Am still to get back from that world – yes, it’s a different world and I want to call it a Paradise - it treats all as equals; it teaches you how to accept life and live life; Much more… I just can’t manage to express what I saw or felt!

Not a feeling of heaviness but each moment in our world I see, I realize ‘what a waste! Why don’t we, the so called hi-fi / matured human beings, learn to live life! We have so much………yet are always on a search for something more! Why do we always mess it up in ways of our own! We don’t respect other humans; we don’t accept them as equals! Constantly complaining, expecting, blaming… Leave aside the selected few (exceptions is way of life) majority of us fall in the above rut! Why so? Lets ponder...

Its ‘one’ life, Its ‘now’, Its for ‘all’ : so, lets ‘live happily’ and let ‘others live happily’…

Before I signoff from this blog, to each one who visits or reads this : thanks for stopping by! If possible, do take a few mts for such homes, people : more than money, our love would make a lot of difference – more to us than to them!
