Just another week day after a beautiful week end…I begin the usual routine with a slight change : no breakfast of dust / noise / tension today, thankfully! it’s a day to work from home.
Sitting with my laptop a thought comes by ‘hey those college days; when we devised the best innovate ways to bunk classes’ hmm… what fun, wasn’t it?! How about trying hands now?:) A minute down, I had decided to wind up early and visit a new mall with a friend.
There was an adrenalin rush now to finish off the task on hand. Few hours later, as I pressed the ‘Send’ button of the email… zoom……flew by a crow from my open balcony to the closed balcony (its wired & no windows) at the back! Before I realized, I had a small crow crowing her/his way, completely lost!
It found itself clueless as it couldn’t find a way to fly out to reach his/her family… Yup, outside our building stand 2 big trees, the ‘adda’ for crows! Soon, I felt I was standing amidst a land of crows… The entire lot crowing with anger & helplessness, and possibly ready to attack me!! While the little one was peeing all over due to fear: of being caught up; held back from family & friends…
‘What was this?! Ya, I wanted an interesting day but not such an interesting one! I try shooing & showing its way back but ofcourse, it was only shuttling within the balcony with fear! My efforts to give her a landing using a broom / stick also didn’t work!
Gosh so much for my plans to leave early! I find myself racking my brains to shoo away a crow! Amidst this, my neighbor aunt walks by (the crows ensured to wake up all in the street)…. Together, we managed to help the crow find its way back. While I tried to help the crow step on a stick, it fell down behind a shoe rack… Aunt very bravely & quickly picked it by its feathers and let it free it in the other balcony! A victorious task indeed...
Wow! What an experience sirjee – I asked for a change to the mundane day & I got the most unique experience of my life – Life, is for sure, the natural prank-player I guess! Yo, did manage to go to the mall and gift myself for the ‘masti’ task accomplished :)
