Weekend Getaway to Ottapalam

34
When I started to blog, I used to write mostly about our trips... Between my last travel blog and this, we have been to Ottapalam, Mudumalai, Munnar, Theni, Trivandrum, and ofcourse TTDC... All were equally joyous trip but I was just enjoying it on my own rather than writing about it. Our recent trip to Ottapalam (OTP) was so exhilarating that it has pulled me back from my short hiatus from writing about travel.
Fun accompanying a bunch of ‘so-called human beings’, this is me, Chitta version 2.0 reporting…
With my maker/fixer 'Ms. Vaseegari' ;)

Muthacha & Muthachi, the soft, subtle, elegant, humility-personified grandparents were our Hosts. At their age, will we be willing to open our doors for such a crowd?! & their pillars of strength are their two daughters, real gems: valliamma and aunty; Patience- & Love-personified beautiful ladies!
Armed for an onslaught by 15 of us, they welcomed us with open arms into the beautiful abode of theirs! With the right climate, the house is a paradise – surrounded by gardens & silence!
I LOVE that place, anyone sane would! Two days & One night, 15 adults (were all adults!?) & 5 kids (ya some fall under both category)…well one can imagine! Humans...chaos is their second nature ;)

Agenda was very clear: Eat, Drink, Sleep, Enjoy
Day 1 began bang on with a grand breakfast, purest kallu & bacardy, memorable long walk to Taravadu (pat on ur back sangee;), lunch-fiesta – not only were we overwhelmed but so were the clouds that it broke into a heavy downpour! Grand finale to Day 1 was the cake-cutting by kuchu & sandy, followed by our song-chat-drink session! And a special mention about the 2 great ladies who added flavor to the evening ;)

Ms. Mokkai & Ms. Prisy – girls u smiling and gulping ur way to glory is a sight and so is the aftermath :)
 Ms. Sardhis :))
Day 2 was planned to be a day to relax… Visit to the Puzhal (a small river), followed by a tasty vegy meal – the special preparation for Sandy – palladai payasam – still on our taste buds! Hats off valliamma and aunty :) special thanks to the old lady who was out there helping!
But the Day 2 highlight was… Till about 6 pm, with a plan to leave for the train by 7:45 pm, human race was operating @ a snail-pace. Suddenly, an alarm ‘hey the train is at 7:55pm, we need to leave by 7 pm’ – all hell broke loose! Especially me, devi, and uncle were out shopping! My heart was racing and the chips-vendor chose that exact moment to act in Slow-motion! Thankfully, we managed to reach the station in time :) else this would have had a different ending! When the last pair of legs stepped out, did I hear a sigh of relief ;) even if they didn’t they are entitled for the same:)
Chitta 2.0 bidding adieus with A BIG HUG to you lovely souls, who risked hosting these humans! Gops & Sangee – Hats off man to you & family!!! 3 Cheers!!! Here I go, to dismantle myself and bid adieu to this human world (believe me guys my dismantling has taken more than 2 weeks!)
Yeeks, what an impact a movie can have! Hmmm, probably that one mosquito scene had its impact on my nerves & I ended up with a jammed back, grrrrrrr!!!
