Years ago, as I entered the school there was only a single
thought – will I see any old face? Will I get to make some good friends? How
will this next tenure of my nomadic life be? With zillions of such thoughts
wandering in my mind, I came by into the class. Wasn’t I glad to see some old
faces that recognized me immediately (thanks to my earlier 1 year tenure @ the
same school). As I took my seat next to an old friend, couldn’t resist seeing a
group of girls chatting their way to glory. Never did I think then that we will
be friends for a life time!
But today, after more than half our life time, when
I wish you ‘happy birthday’, Gee, I remember fondly the moment when you
extended your friendship for me. My heartfelt thanks and love for that gesture
dear :)
It didn’t stop there but also gave me a family – an aunt and uncle who look @
me as their daughter at all times.
There started our lifetime of friendship that gave us some
wonderful moments and years of our life. Those walks from Adi Nagar to Camp Road, shopping @ that one shop in CampRoad who always wondered our friendship, sharing one Goli-soda after a walk through the hot sun, fighting @ my place to spend time with you / watch film in the newly bought VCD, reading books, fighting to stay @ Vidya's place and having thorough fun cleaning her wardrobe & chatting especially with uncle, standing in the Queue to catch Agni Natchathiram are just some of the moments :) From then till now we have shared a lot; together we have stood through the
thick and thin of our life time till date.
Glad that the flow of life didn’t
seize away our friendship, which seems to happen in many cases. Thanks to your
lovely partner, RR, who gracefully allowed me to stay as part of your life and accepted
me as his friend. And the friendship continues through the next generation of
Sreekhar and Sreenidhi.
Many cheers to our friendship Gee! May you have the best of
the life always! Keep smiling:) Happy birthday dear!!!
