The Karpa graham of my house

Spirituality is undoubtedly an ocean with precious values to be discovered by one... Initially, it was merely a set of mandatory practices forced down my throat for years that resulted in some conditioning.

One such practice was visiting temples. I was never very religious or god-fearing... But at a point in life, I didn't feel like visiting any temples. The reasons were twofold: One, temples are used more as a social hub! Two, my thinking - that age when you pray through difficulties and wishes, but each time life turned haywire... it was a deterrent for me.

But luckily, I took a step back at the right time. I started to read a lot and that gave me a new perspective to things. For a few years now, I go by the belief that the world is bound by Energy. Going by history, temples are supposed to be a repository of this energy; a place to seek and share positive energy. Most of the temples today, unfortunately, are the reverse!

So I ended up lighting a lamp, at my place, and praying. I also moved away from those numerous idol worship. But with recent readings and discussions with a couple of friends, I understood that idols are a source to capture and transmit energy. If you notice the temples are built of stone and so are the idols. The central place of worship, the Karpa Graham, has the main idol and is found to be most powerful. One can feel the vibes if the place is maintained purely.

So this week end, I ended up buying a beautifully hand-crafted Ganesha in stone. Now, I have my Karpa Graha ready with the idol and diya. A place to meditate in peace and go on my spiritual journey.

P.S: Temple refers to all places of worship that exists: temples, churches, mosques, etc.
