His music is our breath! His music is our life line! His music is the be all and end all! If am writing this here and now, sound and sane, all thanks to his music... else who knows what our life's ways would have been. It's his music that struck the chord when me and gops met first. Countless moments have gone by just by discussing his music, singing his songs, discovering gems by him which were unheard of. From then, many more like-minded people walked into our lives... No gathering is complete without singing at least one song of his! 

He is the greatest blessings of our life... and goes without saying that we nourished a dream to be able to meet this legend in person!

With nothing but pure love for his music, as we moved on with our life, most definitely universe did conspire... because how else will such a miracle happen!?! On a regular visit to Thiruvanamalai to revive ourselves, walking into the Ramanashramam, we had the most miraculous moment of our life. We would have just walked by this moment if not for Abhi! 

We found in front of us none other than our God (standing in front of the sanidhanam), Illayaraja sir! The moment he heard us saying 'gops raja sir', without a moment's hesitation he folded his hands as a response to us : Life defining moment it was! Spellbound we just followed him to be treated to him singing a bajan with the crowd. Some real special prayers have gone out for us I believe... because next moment we could seek his blessings by touching his feet and also capture this life time moment. All along he stood there smiling and folding his hands! 

It all happened in a jiffy, as if some dream unfolding in front of us... Next moment he was gone and we were pinching ourselves to realize that indeed it was all real!

Words aren't enough or at least am not such an expressive writer... Tried my best to relive the moment because its these moments that I would like to relish later, even if my memory fails me! 

And the highlight of all this was, while Sangee and I were busy planning surprise for Gops to make his D-Day special, life conspired with us and gave him this life-defining moment :)) 

A maestro, whatever world has to say about him otherwise, on that day was the most humble gratitude-filled human in front of us. We love you sir for every single moment your music helped us live our life! May you live forever in these timeless creations of yours.
